Privacy Policy

Canyon Comfort Heating & Cooling is a Utah HVAC contractor, registered as Canyon Comfort Heating & Air, a DBA of DCL Solutions LLC (UT Entity #14710393-0151), DOPL contractor licence #14274544-5501. In this policy “we” and “us” mean that business. If you have any question about the information we hold on you, call or text 801-960-5925.

What we collect

We only ask for what we need to price a job and turn up at the right house.

• Contact details — your name, phone number and email address. These are the only fields our quote form requires.
• Service address — so we know where the work is and whether it is in our service area.
• Job details and photos — whatever you choose to tell us or send about the system or the task. Photos are optional; a quote request without them is still welcome.
• Booking details — the service you picked, the arrival window and the price shown to you at the time.
• Deals and promotions — only if you tick the box on the quote form. We keep your name, email and phone on a list for occasional deals and seasonal reminders, and you can unsubscribe any time by replying to any of those emails.
• Questions you ask — if you use the Ask Canyon Comfort form, we keep your question and any first name, city and email you add. The question and answer are published with your first name and city only; your email is used once, to tell you the answer is posted, and is never shown.
• Basic site analytics — see the analytics section below.

We do not ask for and do not want payment card numbers, bank details, or any government identification through this website.

Why we use it

To quote your job, schedule the visit, contact you about it, and keep a record of work we have done for you. That is the whole list. We do not use your details to build a marketing profile, and we do not run advertising campaigns off them.

We do not sell your information

We have never sold customer information and we will not. We do not share it with lead-generation services, marketing companies, or other contractors.

Who else touches it

Running a website means a handful of service providers necessarily handle your data on our behalf. They are bound to process it only to provide their service:

• Netlify — hosts the website and serves the pages you are reading.
• Supabase — the database behind online booking. Your booking request is stored here.
• Google (Gmail) — delivers your quote request to our inbox and sends your confirmation email.
• Google Analytics and the Google Ads tag — measure how the site is used and which visits come from ads, described below.
• jsDelivr — a public code network that serves the booking tool’s software. Loading it means your browser contacts that provider.
• unpkg — a public code network that serves the mapping library used on our service-area maps. Loading it means your browser contacts that provider.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It sets cookies and collects a trimmed version of your IP address, the pages you view, and rough location and device information. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not combine it with the details you send through the quote form.

If you would rather not be measured at all, every major browser can block cookies, and Google publishes an opt-out add-on for Analytics. Blocking it does not affect your ability to book or get a quote.

Text messages and calls

If you give us your number and ask us to text or call, we use it to confirm your appointment, tell you when the technician is on the way, and follow up about that job. We do not send marketing blasts. Reply STOP to any text and we will stop texting you; message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

How long we keep it

Quote requests and job records are kept while they are useful for servicing your equipment and for as long as we need them for tax and legal purposes. If you ask us to delete your information and we are not required to keep it, we will.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call or text 801-960-5925 or email Devan@canyoncomfort.com and tell us what you want done. We will not charge you for it and we will not make you jump through hoops.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and the booking database is locked down so that the public site can create a request but cannot read anyone else’s. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we do not keep anything on this website that we do not need.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than slipped in quietly.
