Ductwork Repair, Redesign & Installation
Your ductwork is the delivery system for everything your furnace and AC make. When it’s leaky, undersized, or poorly designed, you get hot and cold rooms, weak airflow, and higher bills — no matter how good the equipment is. We design, repair, and install ductwork that actually delivers.
Great equipment can’t fix bad ducts
A perfectly sized, perfectly charged system still won’t keep you comfortable if the air can’t get where it needs to go. Ducts that are too small, crushed, disconnected, or badly laid out choke airflow and leave rooms uneven. We measure static pressure — the “blood pressure” of your duct system — to find the actual restriction instead of guessing, then fix it. Learn more in our HVAC systems guide.
Our ductwork services
New ductwork & full installs
Complete duct systems for new construction, additions, finished basements, and homes that never had proper ducting — designed and sized to actually carry the air your system makes.
Repairs & modifications
We reconnect disconnected runs, replace crushed or damaged sections, add returns where a room is starved, and re-route ducts around remodels — the fixes that restore airflow and even out temperatures.
Redesign for even temperatures
If one floor bakes while another freezes, the duct design is usually the cause. We redesign runs, balance the system, add returns, and add airflow to starved rooms so the whole house lands at one comfortable temperature — see our airflow & even-temperature work.
Sealing & insulating
Leaky ducts waste a huge share of what you pay to heat and cool. We seal the leaks and insulate attic runs so that conditioned air reaches your rooms instead of your attic — more on duct sealing.
Signs your ducts are the problem
- Some rooms are always too hot or too cold no matter the thermostat.
- Weak airflow from the vents even with a clean filter.
- High energy bills for the comfort you’re getting.
- Rooms that are dusty no matter how often you clean.
- Whistling, rattling, or rooms the system “can’t keep up with.”

Ductwork questions
Why are some of my rooms always hot or cold?
Almost always duct design and balance — long or undersized runs, missing returns, or leaks — not the size of your furnace or AC. We measure static pressure and airflow to find the real cause and fix it.
Is duct cleaning the same as what you do?
No — duct cleaning removes dust; we repair, seal, redesign, and install ductwork to fix airflow and comfort problems. If weak airflow is the issue, the fix is usually the blower, coil, or duct design, not a cleaning.
Can you add ducting to an addition or basement?
Yes — we extend or design new ductwork for additions, finished basements, and remodels, or recommend a ductless mini-split where running ducts isn’t practical.
How much does ductwork cost?
It depends on the scope — a repair or added return is modest, a full redesign or new system is larger. We’ll assess it and quote it upfront, free, with financing available on bigger projects.
