Often, yes. A lot of Kearns coolers have been running for decades, and the design is simple enough that pads, a pump, a float and a belt keep an old unit going for a long time. What kills them is standing water and skipped winters, not age. When one truly is past saving, we say so plainly.
Can one cooler really keep the whole house comfortable?
