My split-level never cools evenly with the swamp cooler. Why?
Split-levels are the trickiest layout for evaporative cooling, because the cool air has to find its way both down to the lower level and across the upper one. Half the fix is the machine, and the other half is which windows you open. A cooler needs open windows to push air through the house, and choosing them level by level is what balances a split. We set that up and show you on the service visit.
The cooler runs but the air isn’t cold. What’s wrong?
Usually pads or water. Pads that are several seasons old stop passing air, and clogged distribution lines leave dry streaks where hot air walks straight through. A pump losing its fight with mineral scale is the third suspect. All three are ordinary repairs.
Do you replace the pads every spring?
We check them every visit, and spring is when replacements make sense — new pads in the fall would just sit through the winter collecting dust. If yours are due at startup, we say so and can fit fresh ones on the spot; new pads are extra.
