What’s the cost, and how do days count?
By calendar date, with no hourly math. The $150 covers delivery, setup and takedown; every date on-site is another $20, and both the setup and pickup dates count as full days whatever time we arrive. A third portable adds $10 daily.
Will they cool the whole house?
No, portables cool the rooms they’re in, and we’d rather say so before you rent. Two units placed where your household sleeps and lives is what a comfortable wait actually requires, and that they do well.
The bench sun is brutal on our west windows. Does that change anything?
It changes placement. Rooms behind big west glass carry the biggest load, so that’s where a unit goes, and closing blinds through the afternoon meaningfully helps the machine hold the room. We set that up with you at delivery.
Can I rent if another company is doing the repair?
Yes, the rental stands alone. Prefer one company for everything? Our weekday service call is $80 from 7am to 6pm, credited against approved repairs; weeknights to 10pm and all weekend add $40.
