Airflow & static pressure
How well your system actually moves air, which is the single biggest driver of comfort and efficiency and usually the first place a comfort problem shows up.
Temperatures, heating & cooling
Supply and return temperatures, the temperature split on cooling work, and the temperature rise across the heat exchanger on furnace work, so we can tell whether your system is truly heating and cooling the way it should.
Electrical & safety
Voltage and amp draw on the major components, plus a carbon monoxide safety test on every furnace, because a heating system that runs is not the same thing as a heating system that is safe.

Why a written report beats “looks fine”
“It’s running fine” is not something you can check, compare, or hold anyone to. A number is. Once your system’s actual airflow, static pressure, and temperatures are written down, you can see exactly how the equipment is performing and whether it is holding steady or drifting year over year.
It also keeps everyone accountable. If a repair solved the problem, the readings show it. If the furnace is short cycling or the temperature rise is running high, the readings show that too, long before a January night turns into a no-heat emergency. And because the same commercial HVAC technician who takes the readings is the one writing the report, nothing gets passed along secondhand.

Is the System Health Report included with a tune-up?
Yes. Every tune-up ends with a written System Health Report at no extra charge, on furnace calls and A/C calls alike. It is part of the job, not an upgrade you have to ask for.
What is included in a System Health Report?
Your measured airflow and static pressure, supply and return temperatures with the temperature split on cooling and the temperature rise on heating, refrigerant readings if the charge needed checking, voltage and amp draw on the major components, a carbon monoxide safety test on every furnace, before-and-after photos, and plain-English notes explaining what each reading means for your system.
How much does a System Health Report cost?
Nothing extra — it comes with every tune-up and health inspection. An inspection is $110 for the A/C, $110 for the furnace, or $180 for both in one visit, with $90 for each additional system.
Does the report cover my furnace as well as my air conditioner?
Yes, both. A furnace inspection adds the temperature rise across the heat exchanger, the burner and ignition readings, and a carbon monoxide safety test — the part that matters most heading into a Utah winter.
How do I get my System Health Report after the visit?
It is sent to you digitally after the visit, usually the same night. You keep it, so you can hold this year’s readings up against next year’s and see whether the system is holding steady or slipping.
Why does a written report matter?
Because a written reading can be checked and a spoken “it’s running fine” cannot. With the actual numbers in hand you can look them up, compare them over time, hand them to another contractor, and confirm the system was measured rather than glanced at.
What if my system needs a big repair or a replacement?
Big repairs are ours - large multi-day jobs are quoted in advance and finished by our own team. When a system truly needs replacing, you hear it plainly: the diagnosis, why a new system is the best option, and — only if you ask — a local installer we trust. Canyon Comfort is a repair-only HVAC company: we take on large multi-day repairs but do not sell or install new systems, so when a replacement is the answer we walk you through the findings and exactly why — with an install company we trust on offer. During cooling season, if the repair cannot happen that night, a portable A/C rental keeps the house livable for $150 delivery, setup and takedown, plus $20 per day, or $10 a day for a third unit.

Service runs Monday through Friday 7am–10pm, Saturday 8am–10pm and Sunday 8am–9pm, across the Wasatch Front and Wasatch Back.

Usually same-day: two high-efficiency portable units and a portable swamp cooler, $150 plus $20 a day.
