Portable A/C rental in Alpine
When one zone of a big home loses its cooling, cold air covers it the same day — and the repair gets to happen right.
Big homes fail one zone at a time
Alpine’s homes are built big and zoned to match: two or three systems dividing a house between floors and wings. That design contains failures neatly — when the bedroom-wing unit quits in July, the kitchen stays cool — but it also means the failure lands exactly where the household sleeps, and modern high-end equipment can wait days for the one specific board it needs.
Portables map onto zones perfectly. The units go into the rooms the failed system served, the family sleeps normally, and the repair — ours or the installer who knows the equipment — happens on its proper schedule. Alpine’s canyon-mouth evenings, which cool early and hard, give the machines a real overnight assist.

Alpine’s rental questions
Do you deliver portable A/C to Alpine?
Yes, up to the canyon mouth and the bench streets, usually the same day you reserve. Setup runs seven days a week: weekdays 7am-10pm, Saturday 8am-10pm, Sunday 8am-9pm. Call or text 801-960-5925 and we confirm availability on the spot.
Who rents portable A/C in Alpine?
Canyon Comfort Heating & Cooling, licensed, insured and repair-only, delivers rental portables to Alpine’s large multi-zone homes, covering the failed wing while high-end parts make their way here. Reservations at 801-960-5925.
Only one zone of our house lost cooling. Is a rental worth it?
It’s the best case for one. Alpine’s larger homes usually run two or three systems, and when the upstairs or bedroom-wing unit quits, portables cover exactly that zone, so the repair can happen right rather than rushed.
What’s included?
A pair of high-efficiency portable A/C units, 450 square feet each and about 900 in concert, plus a portable swamp cooler. Delivered to the canyon mouth, staged in the failed zone, and removed once the repair completes.
How are the days counted?
Plain calendar counting at any address: $150 for delivery, setup and takedown, plus $20 per date the units remain, the setup and pickup dates each counting one. A third portable is $10 a day, however long the specialty part takes.
Will portables cool a large Alpine home?
Not all of it, and we say that first. They hold rooms. Aimed at the bedroom wing and a home office, that coverage is what makes a repair wait comfortable, and Alpine’s cool bench evenings do part of the work for free.
We’re waiting on a specific part for a high-end system. How long can we rent?
As long as it takes. The day rate just keeps counting by the calendar, and modern variable-speed systems do sometimes wait on very specific boards or modules. The units are ready to hold the bedrooms for a night or two weeks.
Can I rent if another company is doing my repair?
Yes, including the installer who knows your equipment. If you want our diagnosis as well, weekdays run $80 (7am-6pm), credited toward approved work; weeknights to 10pm and all weekend add $40.
