Portable A/C rental in Heber
Cool mountain nights carry most of the summer — for the weeks they can’t, cold air arrives at the same set rate as the valley.
A valley that mostly never needed A/C — until the week it does
Heber’s older homes were built the mountain way: no air conditioning, windows open at night, and the valley’s cool evenings doing the work. It’s a good system that fails exactly twice a summer — the hot spells when even the Back holds heat past dark, and a sun-soaked home stays stubborn into the night.
The newer subdivisions spreading across the valley floor have the opposite story: they do have A/C, and when it quits, the repair schedule out here can run days, because parts and crews mostly live over the hill.
The rental answers both. Two portable A/C units and a portable swamp cooler — dry Wasatch Back air is the swamp cooler’s favorite weather — delivered and set up the same day in most cases, held for exactly as long as the hot spell or the repair wait lasts, at the same set rate we charge in Salt Lake.

The Heber calls we get most
An older no-A/C home holding heat through the one genuinely hot week. Portables in the bedrooms until the nights cool again.
A newer subdivision home’s A/C down, the schedule days out. Cold bedrooms until the fix lands.
Family or renters arriving into a heat wave. Set up before they land, collected after they leave.
HVAC offline mid-project with the household in residence. The units carry the lived-in rooms through it.

Heber’s questions before renting
Do you deliver portable A/C to Heber?
Yes, the Heber Valley is inside our regular area, and delivery usually happens the same day you reserve. Setup runs seven days a week: weekdays 7am-10pm, Saturday 8am-10pm, Sunday 8am-9pm. Call or text 801-960-5925 and we confirm on the spot.
Who rents portable air conditioners in Heber?
Canyon Comfort Heating & Cooling, licensed and insured, delivers rental portables across the Heber Valley at valley-floor pricing, covering hot spells in no-A/C homes and repair waits in the new subdivisions. Call or text 801-960-5925.
Does the drive over to the Wasatch Back cost extra?
No. The $150 for delivery, setup and takedown is the same in Heber as anywhere else we serve, plus $20 a day.
Our older Heber home has no A/C. Is renting for a hot spell reasonable?
Very. The valley’s older homes mostly skipped A/C because mountain nights usually handle it, and buying permanent equipment for the two hot weeks a summer rarely pencils out. Renting for exactly those weeks, then handing everything back, is the right-sized answer.
What’s included?
Two high-efficiency portables, 450 square feet each and near 900 together, alongside a portable swamp cooler that loves the Back’s dry air. Delivered over the hill, set up completely, and hauled home by us afterward.
How are the days counted?
Calendar dates, mountain or valley: the $150 covers delivery, setup and takedown, each date adds $20, and the install and collection days both count once whatever the hour. Third unit: $10 daily.
Our newer home’s A/C quit and the repair is days out. Can you bridge it?
Yes, that’s the classic call from the newer subdivisions. The portables hold the bedrooms while the part or the appointment makes its way to you, and whoever you choose can do the repair.
Can I rent if another company is doing the work?
Yes, any contractor working your home. Fold us in if useful: weekday service calls run $80 (7am-6pm), credited to approved repairs, with $40 added weeknights/weekends.
The valley’s hot weeks are short. So is our response.
Rented cold for the spells mountain nights can’t fix, backed by the licensed, insured company already repairing HVAC across the Back.
