How are the rental days counted?
By the date on the calendar. $150 for delivery, setup and takedown, $20 per date the units stay, and the setup date and pickup date each count once regardless of hour. A third portable runs $10 daily.
Our swamp cooler quit and the house hit 90. How fast can this happen?
Usually the same day you call. The portables go into the bedrooms first with refrigerated air, and since we repair swamp coolers too, the pump or motor that quit can be booked on the same call.
Will portables cool the whole house?
They cool the rooms they’re in, and we’re straight about that. In Magna’s compact older homes, two well-placed units cover most of the space that matters, and the small original houses near Main are close to fully carried.
Can I rent if another company is doing my repair?
Yes, any outfit you like. If we’re doing the cooler or A/C work ourselves, the weekday call is $80 (7am-6pm), credited toward approved repairs, with $40 added weeknights to 10pm and weekends.
