What comes with the rental?
Two high-efficiency portable A/C units rated 450 square feet apiece, so roughly 900 together, and a portable swamp (evaporative) cooler rides along on every rental. Delivery, setup and eventual takedown are all part of the $150.
How much does it cost, and how are days counted?
By the calendar, never by the hour. $150 covers delivery, setup and takedown; each date the units are at your place adds $20, and the setup and pickup dates count even if we come at 9pm. A third portable unit runs $10 a day.
Will portables keep my whole house at 70?
No, and we’d rather say so up front. Portable units won’t hold an entire house at 70 degrees when it’s 95 outside. What they do well is keep bedrooms and main living areas comfortable so your family can sleep and work while the repair gets done.
I’m in an upstairs apartment downtown with no A/C. Can you help during a heat wave?
That’s one of our most common city calls. Top-floor units and older apartments heat up brutally, and a portable set up in the bedroom changes everything. If your building has an elevator or stairs, we handle the hauling either way.
Can I rent if another company is fixing my A/C?
Of course. Plenty of Salt Lake City rentals cool homes while some other company waits on a part. If you’d rather hand us the repair too, the $80 weekday service call (7am-6pm) is credited toward work you approve; weeknights to 10pm and all weekend add $40.
Do you rent heaters in the winter?
No, there’s no heater version of this program. On a no-heat call you get a full diagnosis instead - we order the part and come back to finish the repair first thing.
