Refrigerated backup for swamp country

Portable A/C rental in West Valley City

When the cooler quits or the muggy week wins, cold air arrives the same day — and leaves when the fix lands.

Local context

The biggest city, the most breakdowns, the best bridge

West Valley City cools more homes than anywhere else in the valley, and a big share of them do it evaporatively. That means the city’s hot-week failures come in two distinct flavors: the swamp cooler that quit outright — a pump, a motor, a float — and the swamp cooler that’s running fine but simply can’t beat the muggy monsoon stretch, because no evaporative cooler can.

Portables answer both. They’re refrigerated air, so humidity doesn’t blunt them, and they usually go in the same day you call — into the bedrooms first, where sleep lives. For the broken-cooler version, we repair the machine itself too, so one call books the bridge and the fix together.

Busy households are the norm here, and the third unit at $10 a day exists for exactly that: one more bedroom that can’t wait.

How it works

Three steps, no hauling on your end

1

Reserve

Reserve with a call or text to 801-960-5925 — the window is confirmed in the same conversation, however big the household waiting on it.

2

We deliver & set up

We place refrigerated units where the household actually sleeps, which in a busy multigenerational home is a conversation we’re happy to have at the door.

3

We pick it up

Monsoon passed or pump replaced, we collect every piece — and if we also fixed your cooler, it’s one goodbye instead of two.

Who calls for this

The West Valley calls we get most

THE MONSOON WEEK

The cooler runs and the house stays sticky anyway. Refrigerated portables for the one week a year evaporative cooling can’t win.

THE DEAD PUMP

Cooler down, part on order. Portables carry the house; the repair happens on schedule instead of in a panic.

THE FULL HOUSE

Multigenerational home, several bedrooms that matter. Two units plus the $10-a-day third covers the sleepers.

THE A/C WAIT

For the homes that did convert — compressor died, part lands Thursday. Cool bedrooms until it does.

West Valley rental FAQ

West Valley’s rental questions

Do you deliver portable A/C same-day in West Valley City?

Same-day across the whole city, Granger to Hunter. Setup windows run weekdays 7am-10pm, Saturday 8am-10pm, Sunday 8am-9pm, and a call or text to 801-960-5925 confirms yours immediately.

Who rents portable air conditioners in West Valley City?

Canyon Comfort Heating & Cooling, a licensed, insured HVAC repair company, rents portables across West Valley City, most often bridging a broken swamp cooler or the muggy week evaporative cooling can’t win. Call or text 801-960-5925.

Our swamp cooler can’t keep up in the muggy week. Is renting worth it for that?

It’s one of the smartest uses of the service in this city. The portables are refrigerated air, so the humid stretch that beats every swamp cooler doesn’t touch them. Some Granger and Hunter households rent for exactly that one week a summer and hand the units back when the dry heat returns.

What’s included?

The full kit every time: a pair of high-efficiency portable A/C units at 450 square feet each, about 900 square feet together, plus a portable swamp cooler. Delivered and set up by us, hauled away by us afterward.

What does it cost, and how are the days counted?

Counting is by calendar date. $150 covers the delivery, the setup and the final takedown; each date on site is $20 more, setup and pickup days included whatever hour we arrive. Third portable: $10 a day.

Will two portables really help a full house of people?

They cool the rooms they’re in, and in a busy multigenerational home we’d aim them at the bedrooms that need sleep most, then add the third unit for $10 a day if another room can’t wait. We’re straight about the limits: portables hold rooms, not whole houses.

Can you fix the swamp cooler while the portables carry the house?

Yes, that’s the ideal shape of the call. The rental goes in today, and the pump, motor or float that quit gets repaired on a sane schedule instead of a desperate one.

Can I rent if another company is doing my repair?

Yes, always. And since we repair swamp coolers and A/C ourselves, you can fold the fix in: $80 weekday service call (7am-6pm), credited toward approved work, +$40 weeknights to 10pm and all weekend.
